flo-rida.

That's right. We're saddling up and heading south next week for 5 whole days! I'm so excited to get away, even if it's only for a week.

What i'm asking of you lovely readers is if you have any recommendations of apps for the Kindle or iPhone for toddlers?? Our son is 2.5 years old and this will be our first rodeo. We have never attempted to travel on an airplane with him, so I'm basically just hoping that every one on our flight doesn't hate us by the end of it...

That's why I need your help! Any and all good advice for traveling with a toddler is welcomed!

Thanks so much!

  1. I want to go to the beach too!! I don't have any kids so I wouldn't know the first things about travelling with them.

BTW, I'm hosting a giveaway for HQCD. You could win a pair of pear drop earrings and your choice of handmade lip balm. Check it out!

  2. Hey girl! I'm from Florida, so I hope you love it... it's so gorgeous (yet hot) here. Also, I used to teach preschool, and any app where they can "draw" with their fingers (like Draw Something) are PERFECT. Have fun on your trip! I'd love for you to stop by my blog and say hi if you get the chance :)

  3. Konnor is obsessed with an app called Tozzle right now, it's a puzzle game where you drag and drop the pieces. Also, Angry Birds! I only traveled with him when he was an infant, so I don't have many toddler traveling tips. One thing is not to pull out everything all at once...stretch out each activity as long as humanly possible! Good luck! I'm sure he will have a few "toddler moments", but as long as you are trying to keep him calm and not just letting him do whatever, most people will understand.

    1. Thanks for the advice Michelle! The whole not pulling everything out at once thing definitely has worked the best so far! Our whole flight there was full of children because we were flying into Orlando so that made me feel better knowing all the parents would probably understand what we were dealing with!
